In order make the peer review process as thorough and as swift as possible, the first step in the review procedure would start with a quick pre-review by the designated Section Editor. If the manuscript is in this first step evaluated as a potentially successful submission, it is then related to the first round of peer-reviewing involving a minimum of two blind peer-reviews. Pending on the recommendations of the reviewers, the journal might be eligible for an additional round of reviews. The process of reviewing will take maximally ten to twelve weeks. Authors will be able to check the progress of the review process at any time by logging into a personalized section of the journal website.
The journal will start with two regular publications in 2016 together with an extra Alps-Adriatic co-edited volulme each year starting as of 2017.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
